Gene Axani
Meet Gene, the President and Owner of Roterra Piling. With a relaxed but confident leadership style, Gene believes that great things happen when people feel trusted, empowered, and motivated. His approach is simple—keep things moving forward and trust the team to do their best work.
Gene brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the piling and construction industry. As the Owner and President, he has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s legacy of quality, integrity, and growth. Gene has a diploma in Mechanical Industrial Engineering Technology from NAIT, along with a journeyperson ticket as both a Welder and Machinist.

Director of Operations
Ben Luu, B. Sc, P. Eng
Ben makes sure everything at Roterra Piling runs like clockwork, with his 15+ years of experience working in a variety of positions at Roterra Piling including pile installation, surveying, load testing, engineering, estimating, project management, and field coordination, he is deep-rooted in the piling industry.
As the Director of Operations, Ben oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficient and effective procedures, managing resources, and improving operational processes. Ben is a graduate from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Civil Engineering and holds his Professional Engineering designation valid in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.

Controller
Warren Dmyterko, CPA CGA
Whether it’s forecasting, budgeting, or crunching numbers, Warren has a sharp eye for numbers. As Controller, he keeps our finances healthy and our metrics meaningful.
He brings 25+ years of financial experience and is responsible for full cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial analysis and reporting. Warren completed his business diploma in Accounting from NAIT and holds a CPA designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Corporate Services Manager
Rebecca Partridge, B.Comm PLP, NHSA
As Corporate Services Manager, Rebecca keeps our culture fun, inclusive, and always moving forward. With a background in Human Resources, Payroll and Health and Safety, Rebecca is all about connection, innovation, growth, and amazing baked goods.
In her position she oversees human resources, payroll, health and safety, quality, marketing and office administration. Rebecca completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Human Resources Management from MacEwan University and holds a National Health and Safety Administrator (NHSA) designation from the Alberta Construction Safety Association and a Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation from the National Payroll Institution.

Operations Manager
Jeff Fisher, B.Comm, NCSO
Since joining Roterra Piling in 2017, Jeff has progressed through a variety of roles and currently oversees fleet and field operations as Roterra’s Operations Manager. In this role, Jeff ensures that project requirements are identified prior to employees, equipment and materials being dispatched to ensure a seamless transition from the planning phase of projects to the execution phase. Jeff completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and holds a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation from the Alberta Construction Safety Association.

Senior Design Engineer
Michael Liu, P.Eng., Ph.D.
As a Senior Design Engineer, Michael brings a wealth of expertise in foundation engineering, structural analysis, and deep foundation systems. With over 20 years of experience in the piling industry, he is responsible for analyzes geotechnical and structural information along with real world limitations to design deep foundation elements for piling foundations.
Michael works closely with our project management and estimating teams to ensure each design is technically sound, cost-effective, and tailored to site-specific conditions. Michael is a graduate from the Beijing Jiaotong University with both Bachelor of Engineering (majoring in Industrial & Civil Engineering) and Master of Science (majoring in Structural Engineering), and completed his PhD in Structural Engineering from University of Alberta Michael also holds his Professional Engineering designation valid in Alberta, British Columbia, and Texas, USA.

Project Manager
Mike Banack, C.E.T.
Mike brings a personal touch to every project and a commitment to making complex things simple. Mike’s progression in the piling industry has given him a complete understanding of piling projects and he excels at completing projects with additional or challenging scopes of work.
Mike works to provide leadership and direction to our team of engineers, estimators, installers, and fabricators to ensure the successful execution of piling projects, while simultaneously interfacing with the client to set and manage expectations and resolve disputes. Mike completed his diploma in Construction Engineering Technology from NAIT.

Project Coordinator (Technical Sales)
Erin Pritchard
When it comes to building relationships, no one does it quite like Erin. As Project Coordinator, she is the glue between production and clients—always ready with a quick update or a thoughtful solution. Erin believes great projects start with great conversations.
In her position, she works with both the procurement and engineering teams to complete project estimates, and with the manufacturing and logistics departments to execute projects.

General Superintendent
Lawrence Dehod
With over 45 years of experience in the industry, Lawrence is a highly respected General Superintendent known for his strong leadership, technical knowledge, and commitment to safety and efficiency.
Lawrence is responsible for overseeing installation crews, coordinating subcontractors, and managing suppliers for all piling operations. He holds a journeyperson certification as both a Welder and a Crane Operator, bringing a high level of skill and professionalism to every job site.

Manufacturing and Production Supervisor
James Skog
James doesn't just supervise production—he understands it. With over 15 years on the floor and deep technical know-how, he brings precision, pride, and mentorship to every shift. He’s the kind of supervisor who notices the little things—and knows they make all the difference.
James is responsible for planning, directing, supervising and coordinating of the production of helical piles along with special projects, helical programming and CWB welding. James holds a journeyperson ticket as a Welder and is a CWB Welding Supervisor certified to codes w47.1, w59 and w186.

Fleet Maintenance Manager
Don Petruka
With oil-stained gloves and decades of experience, no one knows machines like Don. As Fleet Maintenance Manager, he doesn’t just schedule service—he’s in the trenches, diagnosing issues and mentoring the next generation of mechanics. Tough, practical, and all heart under the coveralls.
Don is responsible for the management of all fleet and maintenance operations, the direct supervision of the mechanic shop staff and ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed on time and in compliance with company and provincial safety regulations. Don holds a journeyperson ticket as a Heavy Equipment Technician.
